About Us
Ray of Sunshine Foundation is a Soweto-based non-profit organisation dedicated to addressing two of South Africa’s most overlooked social challenges: the lack of support and awareness for parents raising children with special needs, and the reintegration struggles faced by formerly incarcerated women. We exist to educate, empower and uplift families and women so they can build dignified, independent and purposeful lives.

Vision

Our vision is to build an inclusive South African society where children with special needs receive proper support and equal opportunities, parents are educated, empowered and supported, and women leaving correctional facilities are given a fair chance to rebuild their lives with dignity.

Misssion

Our mission is to provide education, advocacy and practical support to parents and caregivers of children with special needs, as well as formerly incarcerated women seeking reintegration. We are committed to raising awareness about systemic gaps and driving community-based solutions that promote inclusion, dignity and sustainable empowerment.
